The right format
Clearly described. Carefully prepared.
The hybrid format embeds structured XML invoice data inside a PDF/A-3 file. The visible and machine-readable parts belong to one document. An ordinary PDF invoice with a separate XML attachment is therefore not automatically a complete hybrid ZUGFeRD document.
INVOXA has a CII XML export path and a separate XRechnung export. Files are validated before successful output. Creating a complete PDF/A-3 file with embedded XML is currently unavailable. The existing PDF export does not automatically combine the two parts afterwards either.
If your recipient specifically requires a hybrid ZUGFeRD file, the current CII XML export alone is insufficient. Ask whether another structured format is accepted. Otherwise, you need an appropriate process to generate and check the full hybrid format. Review the actual file and the expected profile.

A customer requests ZUGFeRD. Ask which profile and output they expect before supplying a file. If they need the full hybrid PDF, acknowledge the current export limitation. Another accepted XML route may be suitable, but it needs to be agreed with the recipient.
