XRechnung is a structured data set

XRechnung provides XML data rather than an additional embedded PDF representation. INVOXA has a UBL export path with an XRechnung 3.0 identifier. Whether a particular data set meets the rules is assessed through the available validation; a file name alone does not establish conformance.

Check additional recipient information in advance

Public bodies and other customers may require specific references or submission channels. Ask about required order and buyer references and, where applicable, a Leitweg-ID. Check whether every required field is represented in the current INVOXA export. Generated XML is not automatically suitable for every public authority.

Correct errors instead of renaming the export

Changing a file extension or renaming a PDF does not create XRechnung. Review missing fields, inconsistent totals and reported rule violations. If a recipient requirement cannot be represented, you need a suitable supplementary process. Downloading the file does not guarantee acceptance by a portal.

Your workflow

Three steps towards a clear routine

  1. Obtain the customer’s technical requirements and necessary references.

  2. Compare invoice data with the available export fields.

  3. Validate XRechnung and submit only a suitable export.

In practice

A public-sector order with a purchase reference

The customer specifies a reference and a particular submission route. Compare those requirements with the export before billing. If a required field is missing, establish a suitable process rather than renaming a PDF as XML. Keep the recipient’s response confirming the submission.

FAQ

Common questions

Clear answers before you begin.

Is XRechnung a PDF file?

No. XRechnung is structured XML. A suitable viewer can provide a human-readable representation.

Does the export support every public authority?

That is not guaranteed. Confirm mandatory fields and the submission route with the recipient, and review the validation result.

Can invalid XML still be exported as validated?

No. INVOXA does not present failed or unavailable validation as a successful export.

Do I need to install anything?

No. INVOXA runs in a browser. You need an account and an internet connection for the regular workflow.

Which features are available in my plan?

The current pricing comparison shows document allowances and included features. Customer management, expenses, team access and additional exports have their own permissions; free registration does not automatically unlock everything.
